    Peshawar , A recent response from the Directorate General of Sports, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, to an RTI query has raised several eyebrows about the management of deputationists and government resources. There are three major points here: Number of Deputationists: It was requested to know how many officers are working under deputation in the Sports Directorate and their tenures. There is no clear detail of the total number of deputationists and the service they rendered to the operations of the department. PKF Sole Authority for National Karate Team Selection, Warns Shah Faisal

Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Karate Association Coordinator and International Coach Shah Faisal has clarified that the Pakistan Official Karate Federation (PKF) is the sole authority responsible for selecting the national karate team. He emphasized that no other organization has the mandate to form an official Pakistani karate team. Faisal during a press conference held in Peshawar emphasized that  other than the PKF, all other karate styles in Pakistan are private organizations and are not  recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), Pakistan Olympic Association (POA), and Pakistan Sports Board (PSB). Peshawar Sports Complex: Crores Spent on Turf, Now at Risk of Destruction

  Peshawar: The Lala Ayub Hockey Stadium in Peshawar Sports Complex, which received an investment of over Rs. 10 crore from the Pakistan Sports Board in 2022, is facing the threat of destruction. The machines responsible for watering the turf have malfunctioned, leading to severe waterlogging and potential damage to the expensive investment. It has been revealed that the malfunction is due to a fault in the check valves of the machines. As a result, the machines are unable to drain water effectively, forcing the staff to manually remove water from the turf every time. Despite this critical issue, the Sports Directorate administration failed to address the problem promptly.
