Govt is keen to promote tourism in KP, AD Junaid Khan

Peshawar .  Additional Secretary Tourism and Sports Junaid Khan has said that the tourism Department is making planning spread metallic roads, which connect Chitral, Hazara and Malakand Divisions aim to promote tourism in the province. After a meeting with member of provincial assembly (MPA) PK-26 Abdul-Ghaffar, the AS said that Kohistan was beautiful resort for tourism, and its promotion the deptt is keen to construct roads in order to have smooth flow for the tourists without any hurdles. Along with the Kohistan, he added there other beautiful places in merged districts of former Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA), the government is trying to develop tourism in the region. The MPA informed the AD that there dozens spots in Kohistan for tourism but unfortunate, there is no access of the tourists towards them because of dilapidated roads. Cycling, athletics & other games be promoted like cricket, demanded PCF

  Peshawar ,    Pakistan Cycling Federation (PCF) President Syed Zahir Ali has demanded of the government to promote cycling, athletics and other games like cricket. He was talking to media persons here in Peshawar on Saturday, he said that despite best performance of Pakistani cyclists at international level, grants of Rs1.8millions are closed for last two years while the only the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government was supervising the concerned game. He informed that the first one cycling velodrome in the country had been established in Lahore while the second in Baluchistan while the third one is being constructed in Peshawar, which would help the grooming players to promote their cycling game. PSL matches in Pesh goes in doldrums, Nadeem Khan

  Peshawar (kikxnow ) To host cricket matches of Pakistan Super League (PSL) six additions in Peshawar went in Doldrums due to ongoing construction work in Arbab Niaz Cricket Stadium. Hayatabad Cricket Stadium is also being inspected whether the ground is able for PSL matches or not, Nadeem Khan, a Director of higher Performance said that during a visit to the Arbab Cricket Stadium. Construction work on polo and riding clubs in current year starts

Peshawar , District Sports Officer (DSO) Anwar Kamal Barki has informed that construction work of horse-riding and polo clubs will be started in the current year.   He was talking to media persons here at Mira Kachhori while visiting the area, said that riding club would be comprised of 40 kanal land while 100 kanal lands are for polo club and the construction would be begun in the ongoing year (2020).   Officials of sports directorate, revenue and Afghan commissionerate paid their visit to the concerned lands, measuring some 800 Kanal lands, where, there was a refugee camp earlier, which now was acquired for the sports activities.   The DSO directed Tehsildar to make a map of the 40 kanal and 100 kanal lands for riding and polo clubs respectively. 80 Kanal lands for cycling velodrome got in Peshawar, DSO

PESHAWAR, , The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sports Directorate has acquired 80 kanal lands in outskirt area of Peshawar Ghari Baloch for Cycling Velodrome and construction on the lands for the velodrome would soon be started. District Sports Officer Anwar Kamal Barki informed media persons here on Friday, he said that it would be the second best velodrome after Punjab, and other sports facilities would also be available there. Hairdressers demand open shops & relief package

Polo Club at Int’l level to be constructed at Peshawar, DSO

Peshawar ( KikxNow )  A Polo Club of International standard will be constructed in Mira Kichhori area and the lands for it has already been acquired.
