Polo Club at Int’l level to be constructed at Peshawar, DSO

Peshawar ( KikxNow )  A Polo Club of International standard will be constructed in Mira Kichhori area and the lands for it has already been acquired.

District Sports Officer Anwar Kamal Barki informed while talking to Kikxnow, a Social Media Platform  on Tuesday. He said that lands at a large scale in Mira Kichhori, Ghari Baloch and Maland Dher had been acquired for cycling velodrome and play grounds aimed at promoting sports activities in Peshawar because of which great horse-riding players of international level would be groomed. 

 He expressed his wishes that he wants to promote sports activities in Peshawar and support them at every level so that the players could able to achieve the lost titles to the country.

Being an international player of taekwondo and a good horse-rider, I’m ambitious to promote sports activities in Peshawar, for which, he added would leave no stone unturned to make the youngsters’ heed towards sports. He maintained that he was acquainted with the problems of the players and ensured to resolve them at priority basis in order to provide problem-free atmosphere to the players.

The DSO termed Peshawar a hub of talents in various games as he said that people from different parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa adopted Peshawar as their permanent abode and if their youngsters were brought to the grounds, no doubt, future of sports of the province would be bright.

Mr Barki said that horse-riding was their tradition hubbies and due to watching Turkey drama serial Ethugrul Ghazi, keenness of horse-riding was increased among people while the Mira Kichhori polo club would help them good hosre-riding.

    The Mohmand Bajaur Aman Cycle Race, aimed at spreading the message of peace, is set to take place on November 17, 18, and 19.
