PESHAWAR: Detailed information has been sought from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sports and Youth Affairs Department regarding Rs37.526 million spent so far on the Tirah Cricket Stadium project, including construction measurements, verification of bills, site inspections and the current progress of the project.

An application submitted under the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Right to Information Act 2013 states that the approved PC-I cost of the Tirah Cricket Stadium (AIP) project is Rs49.918 million, while available official financial records show expenditure of Rs37,526,731 so far.

The RTI application seeks a certified copy of the notification or office order issued for supervision of the project and physical monitoring of the construction work. It also seeks a date-wise record of site inspections conducted by the officers responsible for monitoring the project.

The applicant has specifically asked which officer carried out the construction measurements for the first, second and third bills and which officer verified those measurements.

Certified copies of all three running bills have also been requested. The first bill amounts to Rs6,354,339, the second running bill to Rs10,861,489 and the third running bill to Rs20,310,903. The combined value of the three bills is Rs37,526,731.

The application further seeks the notification regarding the formation of any committee constituted to verify the construction work, along with its Inspection or Verification Report, if such a committee exists.

The Sports Department has also been asked to provide the latest official report showing the percentage of construction completed under the project. Details of the contractor, including name, address and registration information, as well as the latest Site Photographs and Progress Photographs available in departmental records, have also been requested.

The RTI application seeks the date of the project's last physical inspection and the overall percentage of completion recorded at that time.

A specific question has also been raised regarding security conditions at the project site. The department has been asked to explain the procedure followed for physical measurement and verification of running bills if access to the site was restricted for departmental officers or engineers due to security concerns.

The applicant has also sought the original scheduled completion date of the project and its current expected completion date, along with details of the amount spent from the approved Rs49.918 million and the remaining funds.

An item-wise breakdown of the works to be completed from the remaining funds has also been requested.

The department has further been asked whether any portion of the project has already been completed and handed over to the Sports Department or another government institution. If so, a certified copy of the relevant Handing/Taking Over Certificate has been requested.

The applicant has requested the Sports and Youth Affairs Department to provide all the requested information and certified documents under the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Right to Information Act 2013.
