Islamabad: Despite the start of the 2026-27 fiscal year, the Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) has yet to update its website with the financial accounts for the 2025-26 fiscal year.

According to records currently available on the PSB website, supported by screenshots, the Board has not published its latest financial statements or accounts, even though the new fiscal year has already commenced.

The situation is similar for national sports federations. The financial information available on the PSB website shows that the latest published accounts for most federations are for the 2023-24 fiscal year, with no updated financial records available thereafter.

As a public sector institution, the Pakistan Sports Board is expected to maintain transparency by regularly publishing financial reports, grants, expenditures, and other public records. The absence of updated financial information raises questions about transparency and public accountability.

It also remains unclear when the PSB will publish its 2025-26 financial accounts and why the financial records of affiliated national sports federations have not been updated.

The Pakistan Sports Board's response will be included once it is received.
