Regional Sports Office Peshawar Exceeds 2025 Budget by Rs. 2.1 Million

Financial records of the Regional Sports Office Peshawar show that Rs. 18.62 million was spent during 2025 against an approved budget of Rs. 16.50 million, exceeding the allocation by Rs. 2.1 million.

The records indicate that the highest spending was made under salaries and allowances, followed by administrative expenses, grants, and miscellaneous heads.

Salary-related expenditures included:

  • Rs. 2.79 million under basic pay
  • Rs. 2.50 million under additional pay
  • Rs. 1.03 million under house rent allowance
  • Rs. 1.52 million under Adhoc Relief Allowance 2023
  • Rs. 1.20 million under Adhoc Relief Allowance 2024

Administrative spending included:

  • Rs. 505,000 on printing and publication
  • Rs. 416,000 on conferences and workshops
  • Rs. 110,343 on telephone charges
  • Rs. 1.79 million under miscellaneous expenses

An additional Rs. 3.87 million was spent under the budget head “To Others,” while Rs. 175,000 was used for IT equipment and Rs. 262,455 on transport-related expenses.

The expenditure summary shows:

  • Approved Budget: Rs. 16,509,350
  • Total Expenditure: Rs. 18,626,569

The figures show that spending exceeded the original budget by Rs. 2,117,219, raising questions about the basis for excess expenditures under several heads.

Officials of the Regional Sports Office Peshawar were not immediately available for comment on the expenditure details.
