D.I. Khan Regional Sports Office Exceeds 2025 Budget by Rs. 29.4 Million

Financial records of the Regional Sports Office D.I. Khan show that the office spent Rs. 37.27 million during 2025 against an approved budget of Rs. 7.80 million, exceeding its allocation by Rs. 29.46 million.

The official records indicate that the largest expenditures were made under the heads “To Others” and “Contingent Paid Staff,” raising questions about expenditure controls and budget management.

According to the records, Rs. 23.01 million was spent under A05270-To Others against an original allocation of Rs. 2 million, exceeding the budget by more than Rs. 21 million.

Similarly, under A01277-Contingent Paid Staff, the original allocation was zero, yet Rs. 9.36 million was spent.

Salary-related expenditures included:

  • Rs. 2.46 million under basic pay
  • Rs. 234,954 under house rent allowance
  • Rs. 135,000 under conveyance allowance
  • Rs. 60,921 under medical allowance

Additional amounts were also spent under various relief and special allowance heads.

The expenditure summary shows:

  • Approved Budget: Rs. 7,808,400
  • Total Expenditure: Rs. 37,276,874

This means the Regional Sports Office D.I. Khan exceeded its approved budget by Rs. 29,468,474.

The largest share of excess spending was recorded under “To Others” and “Contingent Paid Staff,” highlighting the need for clarification regarding the basis of these expenditures.
