Islamabad: The Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) has issued a strong public disclaimer exposing an unauthorized and unrecognized body operating under the name “Pakistan Body Builder Federation,” which is allegedly attempting to represent Pakistan at international bodybuilding events.

According to the PSB, the said organization is neither affiliated nor recognized under the Sports (Development and Control) Ordinance, 1962 or the Constitution of PSB, 2022. Despite this, certain individuals identified as Mian Arshad Ali (claiming President), Jaan Muhammad (claiming Secretary General), and Fayyaz Faisal (claiming Finance Secretary) have reportedly been engaging with international bodies to obtain invitation letters and visa documents for participation in foreign competitions.

The issue surfaced in relation to the “NABBA International World Championship,” scheduled to be held on 21 June 2026 in Gateshead, United Kingdom, where the group allegedly attempted to secure participation credentials under the name of Pakistan.

PSB clarified that only those sports federations officially affiliated and recognized by the Board are legally authorized to use the name “Pakistan” and represent the country in international sporting events. Any unrecognized body has no legal authority to send teams abroad or claim national representation.

The Board further stated that no NOC, permission, or authorization has been issued to the individuals or the so-called federation for participation in the said event or for representing Pakistan at any international level. All such claims, communications, or announcements are therefore misleading, unauthorized, and legally invalid.

Athletes and parents have been strongly advised not to engage with or rely on such unrecognized entities, as doing so may lead to serious consequences, including travel and legal complications.

PSB also emphasized that misuse of Pakistan’s name or false representation as a national sports body is a serious violation of applicable laws and may result in strict legal and regulatory action.

The disclaimer has been issued in the public interest to protect athletes and safeguard the integrity of Pakistan’s sports system from misuse and misrepresentation.
