Peshawar – Regional Sports Officer (RSO) Peshawar, Kashif Farhan, clarified that no formal funds have been allocated to Regional Sports Officers for organizing trials or training camps for the Under-21 Games.

According to Kashif Farhan, no official camps have been approved or established for a total of 35 men’s and 18 women’s sports. Nevertheless, he emphasized that RSOs and the relevant sports associations are working together to prepare athletes through mutual cooperation.

He stated that all athletes are receiving daily training from coaches, and this training process is continuing without government funding, relying instead on available resources and coordination.

RSO Peshawar noted that although no official budget has been allocated for structured camps, efforts are being made to ensure the fitness and preparation of athletes so they can perform effectively in the Under-21 Games.

This statement comes at a time when questions about transparency regarding preparations, camps, and funding for the Under-21 Games have emerged, with conflicting claims about camp arrangements across different districts.
