Bannu — Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) Bannu has expressed serious concern over reports of male presence during sports activities held in female educational institutions. The party stated that some events conducted under the supervision of the Regional Sports Office reportedly involved male staff entering or moving around these institutions, which they say goes against local religious and cultural norms.

According to the party’s media wing, parents send their daughters to educational institutions for a safe and respectful learning environment. The presence of unrelated men during such activities raises questions and concerns among families.

JUI Bannu has urged the district administration and the Education Department to ensure that all activities in female institutions follow the principles of modesty and cultural values. The party called for immediate corrective measures and strict oversight to prevent similar situations in the future.

JUI leaders noted that the people of Bannu have deep respect for their traditions and family values, and any such incidents undermine the trust parents place in educational institutions. The party called on the authorities to ensure a safe, dignified and comfortable environment for all female students.

Govt urge open wedding halls in KP, owners

    PESHAWAR, (kikxNow) Representatives of Wedding Halls Association Khyber Pakhtunkhawa (WHA-KP) expressed their regret over still closure of wedding halls and demanded of the government to open halls. Speaking at a news press conference here at Peshawar Press Club (PPC) on Tuesday, president of WHA Khalid Ayub said that livelihood of hundreds of thousands workers were associated those wedding halls but it depends of their running business of marriages in the concerned halls. He said that there were 120 registered and 170 unregistered wedding halls in the provincial metropolis (Peshawar) while in the province there approximately 600 marriage halls, which were closed for four months due to COVID-19.
