The total budget for the development of sports in the Shangla District's Sports Office was PKR 5,734,722. Only PKR 2,488,878 was released. Records show that an amount of -458,778 PKR was expended, indicating discrepancies in the use of funds. Out of PKR 915,300 allocated specifically for sports promotion, PKR 284,700 was spent, leaving PKR 15,300 unutilized.

Sports experts and local people raise questions regarding the engagement of youth in positive activities sans transparent use of funds on time. The situation manifests the fact that the administration of the Shangla District Sports Office is inactive and neglecting the importance of sports.

Shangla District Population (2023 Census):

Total Population: 891,252

Indeed, experts point out that since the district has a young population, opportunities regarding sports should be promoted, but since there is limited funding and poor management, youth are not being given a way to channel their energies constructively.
