Sports Directorate Under Scrutiny for Illegible Generosity

There is another shocking revelation regarding the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Sports Directorate's financial transactions. The Directorate distributed seven high-capacity bicycles worth a whopping PKR 2.219 million to the KP Cycling Association in 2020. The twist? There is no written record of the agreement, the concerned event, or even a receipt for this major transaction.

As their own report states, each cycle cost PKR 317,000, making the total for the seven cycles PKR 2,219,000. But the directorate's munificence did not end there. More cycling gear, costing a reported PKR 200,000 per item with an overall expenditure of PKR 1 million, was also donated. This ostentatious distribution also consisted of "desk wheels" and indoor rollers, all donated by the provincial Sports Directorate to the Cycling Association.

The most mystifying part of this whole deal is the complete lack of paper evidence for the transfer of these costly bicycles and gear. The lack of paper trail questions transparency and accountability in the Sports Directorate seriously.
