Good news for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's sports athletes! The much-awaited "KP Sports Heroes Award" ceremony is all set to take place on the 22nd of July, 2025, at Nishtar Hall, Peshawar, at 4:00 PM. The event will pay tribute to the province's best and most acclaimed male and female athletes who have exhibited outstanding performance in different sports.

This award function had been postponed for the last two years, but due to the personal concern and effort of the present Director General Sports Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, this dream is now turning into a reality.

The event will commemorate sportspersons who've won gold medals at the national-level Quaid-e-Azam Games, as well as those who'd bagged excellent performances and gold medals at the KP Games. Such deserving sportspersons will be invited to the event and awarded cash prizes.

The arrangement of this ceremony is a direct outcome of the efforts of the incumbent DG Sports Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Not only did they renew old files, but this long-held promise became their top priority. Previously, award announcements were delayed because there was no follow-up, but in this case, the ceremony is taking place with complete preparation and government facilitation.

The "KP Sports Heroes Award" is not just an event; it's a noble initiative towards fostering a healthy sports culture, motivating players, and motivating future generations to take part in sports. July 22nd will be a memorable day for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's sportspersons. While their dedication is being honored on stage, they'll be able to proudly say: "Yes! We are Sports Heroes!"
