New Seniority List Fuels Controversy in Provincial Sports Directorate

A new controversy has surfaced within the Provincial Sports Directorate after the recent publication of a new seniority list of caretakers. This new list angrily contrasts with the one made when former Director General Mehmood was in office. The crux of the controversy is that some junior officials seemed to be promoted over their older colleagues, creating widespread injustice among many caretakers.

Earlier, the Establishment Department did not speak on this issue. But with the new list now out in public, objections have started to appear. The new seniority list has already been contested and several caretakers have visited the Sports Secretary, according to sources. They were then told to go to the Establishment Division.

The scenario was further muddled when a few caretakers were told that the court had issued orders in this regard. However, these individuals afflicted with issues report that they were not taken into confidence, nor were their grievances settled adequately. Thus, most aggrieved officials have made up their minds to file legal action against the present list.
