Ayub Club Wins Final of Kohat Division Inter-Club Hockey League

 

 

The final match of the Kohat Division Inter-Club Hockey League, held at the Kohat Sports Complex with the support of the District Sports Office Kohat, was played between Ayub Club Kohat and Kagazai Club. Ayub Club players put on a brilliant performance, securing a remarkable victory by scoring five goals against two.

 

In the third minute of the match, Raza Habib thrilled the spectators with a spectacular field goal. In the seventh minute, Shah Habib scored the second goal, followed by Noor Kareem scoring the third goal in the fifteenth minute. By the end of the second quarter, Kagazai Club’s captain, Aziz, managed to score one goal, bringing the score to 3-1.

 

In the third and fourth quarters, Ayub Club's Aimal Rasheed and Nauman scored two more goals, taking their total to five. In the final moments of the game, Hasan Khan scored for Kagazai Club. Just like last year, Ayub Club successfully defended its championship title.

 

The chief guest at the closing ceremony was MPA and Sports Committee Chairman Shafiullah Jan. In his speech, he appreciated the performance of the District Sports Officer and the District Hockey Association, calling the tournament a commendable initiative. He also announced a donation of fifty hockey sticks for the summer camp and declared that a provincial-level tournament would soon be held in Kohat.
