Malakand Region Dominates Peshawar Region in Inter-Regional Cricket Championship

 

 

The Inter-Regional Cricket Championship, organized by the Provincial Sports Directorate, witnessed intense competition in its quarter-final stage. The matches took place at various grounds in Shah Alam, Peshawar.

In a thrilling encounter at the Shama Cricket Ground, the Malakand Region team emerged victorious over the Peshawar Region team. Peshawar, winning the toss, opted to field first. Malakand, in their allotted 20 overs, posted a formidable score of 151 runs, losing seven wickets in the process.

In response, Peshawar's batting lineup struggled, ultimately being bowled out for a meager 96 runs. This resounding defeat by a margin of 55 runs secured Malakand's place in the next round of the tournament.

The match was officiated by umpires Manzoor Sabir and Muhammad Ayaz, with Imran serving as the commentator.
