Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Hockey Team Shines in Junior Championship, Despite Quarter-Final Loss
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa A team made a strong impression in
the Pakistan Hockey Federation Junior Hockey Championship in Islamabad,
showcasing exceptional talent and teamwork. Despite a narrow 3-4 loss to
Customs in the quarter-finals, the team's performance throughout the
competition was commendable.
To express their appreciation and support, renowned figures
from the hockey world, including Rana Mujahid, Asif Bajwa, and Shahbaz Sr.,
visited the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa team at the ground. Their presence served as a
significant boost to the players' morale.
Rana Mujahid, known for his exceptional skills, joined the
team for a friendly match, further inspiring the young athletes. In recognition
of their outstanding performance, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa team was awarded a
cash prize of Rs. 10,000. Zahir Shah, president of the Provincial Hockey
Association, also contributed Rs. 10,000 to encourage the team's continued
efforts.
