Zulfiqar Ali Butt Running Trophy 2024: Hazrat Khan Emerges Champion
The 2024 Azadi Snooker Championship, also known as the
Zulfiqar Ali Butt Running Trophy, concluded with a thrilling final at the Naik
Snooker Academy in Peshawar. The tournament, which began on August 14, featured
the participation of 32 top snooker players from various clubs in the city.
In the semifinals, Kashif Khan defeated Munsifuddin 3-1,
while Hazrat Khan edged out Sajjad Khan 3-2 to secure their places in the
final. Both players showcased exceptional skill and determination throughout
the tournament, making the championship a highly anticipated event.
The final match between Kashif Khan and Hazrat Khan was a
nail-biter, with both players displaying their best form. In the end, Hazrat
Khan emerged victorious, claiming the championship title and the coveted trophy
with a 3-1 win.
The final was graced by the presence of Mr. Zulfiqar Ali
Butt, the Vice President of the Pakistan Olympics Association and President of
the KPK Snooker Association. Mr. Butt distributed trophies and cash prizes to
the winners, runners-up, and semi-finalists, recognizing their outstanding
performances. Additionally, his association also presented awards to other
participating players.
The Zulfiqar Ali Butt Running Trophy 2024 served as a
platform for showcasing the talent and passion of snooker players in Peshawar.
