UNDP Bicycles Missing in FATA Festival

Peshawar ,   In a shocking revelation, twelve bicycles donated by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in 2016 for the Joint District Sports Directorate in FATA have mysteriously disappeared. The bicycles were initially used in the FATA Festival 2016 and a few subsequent events but have since vanished without a trace.

According to reports, the bicycles were handed over to the cycling coach of the then Sports Directorate, who still has possession of them. However, the merged District Sports Directorate has failed to provide any explanation for why the bicycles were given to the coach or how they were used.

This incident raises serious concerns about accountability and transparency in the management of public funds. The bicycles, worth lakhs of rupees, were intended for the benefit of the community, but they have instead been lost or misappropriated. It is imperative that a thorough investigation be conducted to determine what happened to the bicycles and hold those responsible accountable.
