Rescue 1122 Shines in KP Marathon, Providing Aid to 225 Athletes

 

Peshawar, Pakistan: In a testament to their commitment to public safety, Rescue 1122 teams delivered exceptional medical care during the inaugural marathon race held in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Under the watchful eye of District Emergency Officer Ghayur Mushtaq Khan, the emergency services provided timely assistance to over 225 athletes participating in the event.

 

Thousands of athletes converged on the BRT track to compete in the historic race. Rescue 1122 deployed medical teams at strategic locations along the route, ensuring swift response to any medical emergencies. A significant number of participants reported symptoms such as shortness of breath, low blood pressure, and low blood sugar levels. Additionally, some athletes sustained injuries from falls.

 

To meet the demands of the event, Rescue 1122 mobilized its Emergency Medical Response Unit (BUS), ambulances, and medical bikes, providing immediate medical attention to those in need. The dedication and professionalism of the Rescue 1122 teams were instrumental in ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants.
