Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Hockey Team Selected for National Junior Championship

 

 

Peshawar, September 24, 2024: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) hockey team is now set to represent the province in the National Junior Hockey Championship, which kicks off tomorrow in Islamabad. Following rigorous trials supervised by international players and coaches, a final squad of 20 players has been selected.

Yasir Islam, Zia Banuri, and Hidayatullah Afridi, along with local coaches Asif Islam, Qaiser Wadud, and Waqas Khan, oversaw the trials. Representatives from the Pakistan Hockey Federation were also present to observe the proceedings.

Syed Zahir Shah, the President of the KP Hockey Association, expressed his satisfaction with the selection process and wished the team all the best for the championship.

The selected KP team is brimming with talent and determination, and they are expected to make a strong showing in the tournament.
