Investigation into Violence Against Class-IV Employee at Provincial Sports Directorate Concludes: Report Submitted

The investigation into the violent incident involving a Class-IV employee at the Provincial Sports Directorate has been completed, with a detailed report prepared by Additional Director General (ADG) Sports, Rashida Ghaznavi. Appointed to lead the inquiry, the female ADG summoned officials from the directorate and others involved in the incident to collect their statements.

The incident, which occurred last week at the Qamar Zaman Sports Complex, involved an official named Atiq, who was assigned to the complex. Atiq was assaulted by players after he banned a child from flying a kite in the complex due to safety concerns for the athletes. In response to the escalating situation, the police were called, and the Director General (DG) Sports immediately formed a committee to investigate the matter.

Rashida Ghaznavi, who led the investigation, recorded statements from all parties involved. The completed report has now been submitted to the DG Sports for further action.
