International Standard Cricket Academy to be Set Up at Arbab Niaz Stadium

Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: The Provincial Sports Directorate has taken a significant step towards promoting cricket in the region by announcing the establishment of an international standard cricket academy at the Arbab Niaz Cricket Stadium. The decision comes with allocated funds to ensure the project's successful implementation.

This new academy is expected to play a pivotal role in nurturing young cricketing talent and providing a conducive environment for professional cricketers to hone their skills. The region has a history of producing exceptional cricketers, and this academy aims to build upon that legacy.

Previously, a cricket academy was established outside the Arbab Niaz Cricket Stadium during the tenure of former DG Sports, Muazullah Khan. The academy successfully trained numerous young cricketers under the guidance of experienced coaches.

Following the success of the previous academy, a branch of the Muazullah Khan Cricket Academy was also set up at the Peshawar Sports Complex. Currently, approximately 450 cricketers are receiving training at this branch.

The Sports Directorate has informed the contractor and C&W officials responsible for the project about the plans to establish the cricket academy. It is anticipated that once the Arbab Niaz Cricket Stadium is completed, the academy will be fully functional, providing a platform for cricketers to excel in international competitions and for aspiring young cricketers to receive professional training within the city.
