Free Accommodation for Contractor Employees at Lala Ayub Hockey Stadium Raises Concerns

Peshawr ,  The Lala Ayub Hockey Stadium in Peshawar has been providing free accommodation to contractor employees working for the Provincial Sports Directorate for the past two years. Despite repeated requests and directives from authorities to allocate appropriate housing, the Sports Directorate administration and its administrator have seemingly ignored the issue.

The contractor employees have been occupying a space above the Lala Ayub Hockey Stadium, which was originally intended for players. Additionally, they have also been living in a place built for the stadium's players a year ago, where the facilities have deteriorated due to neglect. Broken windows and damaged frames are just some of the problems that have gone unaddressed.

Questions remain unanswered regarding the financial implications of providing free accommodation to private contractor employees. It is unclear which account is being used to cover the costs associated with housing these individuals.

This situation raises concerns about potential corruption and mismanagement within the Sports Directorate. The misuse of public resources for personal gain is a serious issue that requires immediate attention and investigation.
