Sports a Tool for Peace in KP: Pir Abdullah

Peshawar: Additional Secretary Sports Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Peer Abdullah, has emphasized the role of sports in fostering peace in the region. Speaking at the Shah Tahmas Football Stadium during the second phase of the integrated district inter-academy football championship, Abdullah expressed satisfaction over the participation of youth from different tribes.

He highlighted the positive impact of a peaceful environment on the region's youth, enabling them to actively engage in sports. Abdullah expressed particular delight at the participation of Karam Agency's football team, emphasizing it as a symbol of unity and harmony among the various tribes.

Acknowledging the challenges faced in organizing the event due to budget constraints, Abdullah praised the efforts made to successfully conduct the championship in different parts of Peshawar. He expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister and Sports Advisor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for their support and encouragement to the participating tribal youth.

The event was hailed as a significant step towards promoting peace and unity through sports in the region.

    The Mohmand Bajaur Aman Cycle Race, aimed at spreading the message of peace, is set to take place on November 17, 18, and 19. Cyclists hailing from all four provinces and Islamabad are gearing up for the three-day championship, with participation from various teams, including those from Pakistan Army, Higher Education Commission, WAPDA, and Railway.   The event, under the watchful eye of technical officials, boasts a distinguished lineup, featuring Colonel Retd Jahanzeb Niazi from Balochistan, Gul Muhammad Kakar from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Nasir Khan Mohmand, and Amjad Nawaz Khan from WAPDA.
