"Sports Directorate Vows to Nurture Talent from Merged Districts"

 

Peshawar: The Director of Sports for the merged districts has reaffirmed the Directorate's commitment to nurturing sports talent from the region and elevating it to national and international levels.

During a press briefing at the football quarter-final matches held at Shah Tahmas Football Stadium, the Director highlighted the successful completion of the first phase of sports competitions and ongoing district-level selections for cricket, badminton, and football. The events were inaugurated by Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur and the Sports Advisor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The Director expressed gratitude to the DG Sports Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for the strong support and resources that made these competitions possible. Plans are in place to establish a dedicated sports academy in the merged districts to provide young athletes with professional coaching and opportunities to develop their skills.

Addressing concerns about player kits and equipment, the Director assured that all participating athletes had been equipped with the necessary gear, and investigations are underway to address any reported discrepancies. The Directorate remains focused on creating a positive sports environment in the merged districts, empowering youth through continuous sports activities.
