Spectacular Display of Talent at the Independence Day Celebration in Hayatabad Sports Complex

Peshawar: As with every year, the Hayatabad Sports Complex hosted a vibrant Independence Day celebration.

Under the supervision of the complex's administrator and former international athlete, Abid Afridi, various sports competitions were organized, showcasing the talent of local youth. The event, held on August 14th, featured exciting competitions in karate, taekwondo, football, archery, cricket, and gymnastics.

Boys and girls from different academies displayed their skills and competitive spirit, adding energy to the activities at the Hayatabad Sports Complex.

During the closing ceremony, the esteemed guests, Abid Afridi and international karate player and coach Khalid Noor, who is also a recipient of the Pride of Performance Award, presented trophies to the top performers, recognizing their outstanding achievements.

The event saw enthusiastic participation from junior athletes and their families. Parents were delighted to see their children competing and celebrating in the spirit of freedom.

Participants appreciated the opportunities provided by the Hayatabad Sports Complex and praised the supportive environment fostered by Abid Afridi, along with the high-quality coaching that helped enhance their children's skills.

Cyclists hailing from all four provinces and Islamabad are gearing up for the three-day championship, with participation from various teams, including those from Pakistan Army, Higher Education Commission, WAPDA, and Railway.   The event, under the watchful eye of technical officials, boasts a distinguished lineup, featuring Colonel Retd Jahanzeb Niazi from Balochistan, Gul Muhammad Kakar from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Nasir Khan Mohmand, and Amjad Nawaz Khan from WAPDA.
