Promotions Galore: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sports Department Gets a Boost

Peshawar, Pakistan: In a significant move to enhance the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) sports department, several promotions were announced in 2023. The promotions, which were approved at the secretariat level, saw coaches, supervisors, hostel superintendents, and technical staff move up the ranks.

Two coaches were elevated to the position of senior coaches from grade 16, while a supervisor was promoted to senior supervisor from grade 15. Additionally, a hostel superintendent was promoted from grade 10 to 15, and four caretakers were promoted from grade 8 to 15.

In the technical cadre staff, eight personnel were promoted from grade 5 to 8, four from grade 4 to 8, and three from grade 3 to 8. All these promotions were in line with the development law.

Meanwhile, the provincial sports directorate established the KP Sports Foundation under the Act of 2023. The foundation, headed by the Minister of Sports, has six members and a retired senior official as its administrator. However, the directorate has remained tight-lipped about the names of the foundation members, the administrator's identity, and the allocation of funds.

Furthermore, questions regarding the benefits given to the administrator and the appointment of a new administrator have also gone unanswered.
