Mazullah Khan Cricket Academy Generates Rs 112,200 in February

Peshawar: A financial report released by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sports Directorate has shed light on the revenue generated by the Mazullah Khan Cricket Academy. According to the Right to Information Commission, the academy, which currently trains 57 senior and 53 special players under the guidance of a single coach, managed to earn Rs 112,200 in February 2024.

The income primarily stems from fees charged to young cricketers. A breakdown of the fee structure reveals that 12 under-18 players paid Rs 600 each per month, contributing to a total of Rs 7,200. Similarly, 31 under-16 players paid Rs 500 each, generating Rs 15,500. The largest income came from 141 under-14 players who paid Rs 400 each, amounting to Rs 56,400. Additionally, new admissions for 3 under-18, 10 under-16, and 22 under-14 players brought in Rs 3,300, Rs 10,000, and Rs 19,800 respectively.

While the report provides a clear picture of the academy's income, questions remain about expenditure, coaching standards, and the overall utilization of funds.
