Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government Halts New Hiring Under Sports Development Project

Peshawar ,  In a significant move, the Directorate General of Sports, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has imposed a complete ban on any further addition of Daily Wage/Contingent Paid staff under the ongoing ADP Project titled "220486-Promotion & Sustainability of Sports Activities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa." This directive comes following the orders of the Advisor to the Chief Minister on Sports & Youth Affairs and is effective immediately until further notice.

The office order, dated August 9, 2024, reflects the government's efforts to streamline resources and focus on the efficient execution of existing sports development initiatives in the province. This decision impacts various sports programs and projects under the Directorate of Sports, signaling a pause in the hiring of additional support staff.

Govt urge open wedding halls in KP, owners

    PESHAWAR, (kikxNow) Representatives of Wedding Halls Association Khyber Pakhtunkhawa (WHA-KP) expressed their regret over still closure of wedding halls and demanded of the government to open halls. Speaking at a news press conference here at Peshawar Press Club (PPC) on Tuesday, president of WHA Khalid Ayub said that livelihood of hundreds of thousands workers were associated those wedding halls but it depends of their running business of marriages in the concerned halls. He said that there were 120 registered and 170 unregistered wedding halls in the provincial metropolis (Peshawar) while in the province there approximately 600 marriage halls, which were closed for four months due to COVID-19.
