DSO Peshawar Spends Over 45 Lakhs on Just Two Events in 2023

The District Sports Officer Peshawar (DSO Peshawar) faced scrutiny for its limited sports activities and high expenditures in 2023. Despite being allocated significant funds, the DSO only organized two events: a children's event costing 3 million rupees and a fireworks display on August 14th, totaling 1.55 million rupees.

Additionally, the DSO revealed spending 70 liters of patrol while admitting to no club registration efforts in Peshawar. This raises questions about the efficient use of public funds for sports promotion. The information on the events was only disclosed eight months after the initial inquiry on December 4, 2023.
