"Parents Concerned Over Pakistan's New Passport Policy Affecting Athletes Abroad"

Parents from various European countries are expressing concern over Pakistan's new government policy, which restricts issuing passports to individuals who have sought political asylum abroad. This policy impacts children who went overseas under the guise of participating in sports but then disappeared.

Athletes from table tennis, squash, and tennis, who traveled to countries like the UK and the US, applied for political asylum while participating in different sports. Additionally, some journalists, who were given letters by various magazines for sports coverage, also vanished abroad under similar pretenses.

These individuals fled due to Pakistan's poor economic conditions and now hold dual citizenship, often returning to Pakistan periodically. However, the new federal policy means these children will now need visas to return, facing the same restrictions as foreign citizens.

This situation has caused significant mental stress for parents of these athletes, who are now worried about their children's future movements.
