Sports Associations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Demand Transparency, Open Court

Sports associations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are up in arms over the lack of funding and communication from the provincial sports directorate. These associations, crucial for promoting sports at the grassroots level, haven't received grants or aid for over three years, severely limiting their ability to function.

Representatives allege a disconnect between the directorate and the associations. They claim the directorate spends crores of rupees without proper data on players or collaborating with associations. Competitions are reportedly organized by recruiting random college students through DPAs, raising concerns about fairness and transparency.

Demanding immediate action, the associations have called upon Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sports Advisor Syed Fakhar Jahan to:

Release the frozen grants and aid, with expectations set at Rs. 5 lakhs annually.

Organize an open court at the Sports Directorate arena. This event should include representatives from sports associations, athletes, and sports journalists to ensure open communication and address concerns.
