Parched Grounds Plague Provincial Sports Directorate Despite Ample Staff

Despite having a team of eight permanent and four daily wage groundskeepers, the Provincial Sports Directorate in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is facing a crisis of wilting grounds.  Even with a dedicated Head ground man , essential maintenance tasks like watering and grass care are neglected. This has resulted in barren patches across various grounds, including those near the hostel, archery range, and tag ball courts.

Sources within the Sports Directorate reveal a lack of proper attention to the upkeep of the facilities.  While efforts are underway to maintain some lawns with regular watering, the overall condition remains worrisome.  The absence of a designated watering routine and a lax work ethic among the staff are contributing factors.

Even with a total of twelve employees dedicated to ground maintenance, the current state of the sports facilities paints a grim picture. This raises concerns about the proper utilization of allocated resources and the commitment to providing functional sports grounds.
