Culture and Tourism Authority Refuses to Provide Information About Projects and Employees, Citizen Files Complaint with RTI Commission

PESHAWAR, PAKISTAN - The Culture and Tourism Authority (CTA) is refusing to provide information about its projects and employees, prompting a citizen to file a complaint with the Right to Information Commission (RTIC).

The citizen, who filed the RTI application, had requested data on the authority's staff members assigned to various projects, the number of projects currently under the authority's management, the number of security personnel deployed by the authority, the details of their deployment, and the monthly expenses incurred on them.

Despite the deadline for providing the information having passed, the CTA has failed to comply with the request. Consequently, the citizen has filed a complaint with the RTIC, seeking action against the CTA and urging them to release the requested information.
