Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sports Directorate Website In Need of Revamp

PESHAWAR - The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Provincial Sports Directorate's website, http://sports.kp.gov.pk/, has come under scrutiny for its outdated content and lack of transparency.

Concerns were raised about the absence of recent updates, including photos of the new Director General, Abdul Nasir Khan, and pictures showcasing recent sporting events. Additionally, the website continues to display photos from the 2023 National Games held in Quetta and information about events scheduled for 2023 in Kalaya Orkazai.

Another cause for concern is the website's inaccurate information regarding district annexations. Clicking the button for details on these annexations reportedly leads to an error message. Similarly, contact information seems to be malfunctioning, with users encountering errors when attempting to access it.

Social media activity from the Directorate General's account appears to be stagnant as well. The last tweet reportedly dates back to October 2023 and wasn't even related to recent sporting activities.

These issues raise concerns about the Directorate's commitment to transparency and its ability to effectively communicate with athletes and the public. Stakeholders are urging the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Provincial Sports Directorate to prioritize website maintenance and ensure it provides fresh, accurate information.
