Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sports Directorate Relies Heavily on Deputation Staff

The Sports Directorate in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa appears to be heavily reliant on deputation staff, with 10 employees occupying key positions. These employees were assigned these roles during a supervisory period and have remained in them ever since.

Reports allege that Shah Fazil, a Grade 18 officer, holds the combined responsibility of Director Development, Project Director (1000Ground Initiative), and additional powers for the Sports Foundation Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including DDO authorities encompassing Transport Maintenance and the Union Council Project.

Similarly, other Grade 18 and 17 officials are said to be occupying positions like Director IT (Syed Muhammad Zahid Shah), Deputy Director Sports (Miftah Ismail), Regional Sports Officer (Salahuddin), Assistant Director (Taimur Khan), and District Sports Officers (Sadiqullah and Sadiq Ahmed). Even lower-rung positions seem to be impacted, with Grade 16 officers like Shah Hussain (Director Accounts) and Muhammad Shoaib (District Director Sports) being deputation staff. The report also mentions Fayaz Ahmed and Qaiser Munir in similar situations.
