"Coaches Await Paychecks, While ‘Ghost Employees’ Vanish (Pre-Eid Edition!)

Provincial sports coaches can finally exhale as payday approaches! Although their official appointments are yet to be announced, they’re slated to receive their long-awaited salaries next week. For some, this has been a five-to-six-month wait, despite their dedicated efforts.

 

But hold on, there’s an intriguing twist! A crackdown on “ghost employees” is in full swing. Apparently, these phantom workers have been cashing in on daily wages while comfortably lounging at home or even telecommuting from the cozy abodes of sports directorate officials. Talk about a freeloaders’ haven! Fortunately, legitimate daily wage earners can expect their dues before Eid-ul-Fitr.

 

Inside sources at the Sports Directorate also suggest that politically appointed staff members are feeling the pressure. Daily wage employees with dubious connections are allegedly seeking refuge with their political leaders, hoping to safeguard their positions. It seems Eid won’t be the sole cause for celebration—it’s also a time for some spring cleaning within the sports directorate!

    The Mohmand Bajaur Aman Cycle Race, aimed at spreading the message of peace, is set to take place on November 17, 18, and 19.
