Student Fizza Ali Collapses During Judo Match in Prime Minister Youth Talent Hunt Sports League

In a disheartening turn of events at the Prime Minister Youth Talent Hunt Sports League, Fizza Ali, daughter of Sher Ali and a student at Islamia University Peshawar, collapsed during her judo match in the -44 kg weight category. The event, organized by Kohat University of Science and Technology in Kohat, witnessed Fizza's unfortunate incident during a match against an opponent from the Hazara region.

 

Amidst the tense competition, Fizza lost consciousness, prompting immediate action from the 1122 rescue team present at the venue, the Sports Complex of BISE Mardan. Providing swift first aid, the team swiftly transferred her to the hospital. However, despite their efforts, Fizza did not recover.

 

This incident casts a somber shadow over the sports community, highlighting the risks athletes face in pursuit of their passion. Our thoughts are with Fizza Ali and her family during this difficult time. Innalillahi wainna ilaihi raji'un.

 

Wajid, the Director of Sports at Kohat University, expressed his condolences and shared the collective sorrow felt by all involved in the league.
