Young Tennis Player Zainab Ali Naqvi Passes Away in Islamabad

17-year-old Zainab Ali Naqvi, a promising tennis player from Karachi, tragically passed away on February 12, 2024, in Islamabad. The Pakistan Tennis Federation confirmed the news in a statement, expressing their deepest condolences to her family and friends.

Zainab was competing in a regional junior tournament in Islamabad when the tragedy occurred. After one of her matches, she went to take a bath, and according to reports, was discovered unresponsive later. The exact cause of her death is yet to be determined.

The tennis community in Pakistan is deeply saddened by Zainab's untimely passing. She was known for her dedication to the sport, her positive attitude, and her bright future potential. Tributes and messages of support are pouring in for her family and loved ones.
