Young Boxer Ziyad Hussain Aims for Olympic Gold: "#BoxingDreams"

Peshawar's aspiring boxer, Ziyad Hussain, has set his sights on Olympic glory, alongside clinching the national champion title. Hussain, expressing his determination, stated, "I wish to become an Olympic champion in boxing," emphasizing his relentless commitment to the sport.
In an interview with the media, Hussain revealed his passion for boxing and his aspiration to carve out a distinct place within the sport. He diligently trains at the Qayyum Stadium, dedicating himself day and night to achieve his goals.
Hussain's dedication bore fruit when he secured the silver medal in the under-17 51 kg weight category at the National Boxing Championship held in Faisalabad. Subsequently, he earned a spot in the international boxing event in Dubai, showcasing his potential on a global stage.
Encouraged by his achievements, Hussain aims for further success in his career, aspiring to bring joy to his parents and boxing enthusiasts alike. Supported by the Secretary General of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Boxing Association, Khaizrullah, coach Muhammad Afzal Khan, and fellow players, Hussain is determined to excel and bring home medals at every level.
However, despite the promises of scholarships and cash prizes from the provincial sports department for outstanding performers, including U-21 medalists, many athletes, like Hussain, have been overlooked for years. This lack of government support has left players disheartened and disillusioned.
Abid Hussain, the father of young boxer Jayad Hussain, attests to his son's prowess in the ring and his amiable nature outside of it. He proudly acknowledges his son's contribution to Pakistan's reputation in the sport.
As Hussain continues his relentless pursuit of boxing excellence, he remains a beacon of hope for aspiring athletes across the nation, determined to turn his dreams into reality.
