PTI Bajaur Workers Protest Inaction in Rehanzeb Murder Case

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers from Bajaur staged a protest demonstration in front of the Peshawar Press Club, demanding the arrest of the killers of deceased former candidate PK 22, Rehanzeb.

The protest, led by Bajauri and other members of Team Rehanzeb, saw workers raising slogans demanding justice for Rehanzeb and the arrest of his killers. They expressed their frustration at the lack of progress in the case and the perceived inaction of local authorities.

Speakers at the protest criticized the local administration for becoming "silent spectators" to the "endless series of target killings" in Bajaur. They argued that the current officers, "who are paid by our taxes," are failing to solve fundamental problems and called for the appointment of "knowledgeable and people-friendly officers."

The protesters emphasized their status as Pakistani citizens and demanded justice for Rehanzeb. They questioned the possibility of establishing peace in the country if candidates cannot even be safe during elections.

The demonstration concluded peacefully after the participants had voiced their concerns and demands. However, the call for justice and the arrest of Rehanzeb's killers remains unresolved.
