Dera Ismail Khan DSO Under Investigation for Illegally Granting NOC to Employee for Umrah

PESHAWAR: The District Sports Officer (DSO) of Dera Ismail Khan is being investigated for allegedly using his powers illegally to send a Class IV employee for Umrah on his behalf.

 

According to sources, the DSO issued a No Objection Certificate (NOC) for the employee to perform Umrah from January 10th to 31st, 2024, without informing the Director General Sports Khyber Pakhtunkhwa or following proper procedures. The employee subsequently left his duties to perform the pilgrimage.

 

The Provincial Sports Directorate has expressed unawareness of the situation and has initiated an investigation into the matter.
