Committee Formed to Resolve Amusement Park Ownership Dispute in Peshawar

PESHAWAR: A committee has been established to settle a dispute regarding the ownership and boundaries of an amusement park in Peshawar's Sheikhabad area. The move comes after a meeting chaired by Commissioner Peshawar Division, Muhammad Zubair, at the direction of Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Nadeem Aslam Chaudhry.

The Abandoned Property Board and the Capital Metropolitan Government (CMG) disagreed on the ownership, transfer, and due amount of the amusement park. Chief Secretary Chaudhry intervened and instructed Commissioner Zubair to resolve the issue.

Zubair chaired a meeting attended by relevant officials, including the Additional Deputy Commissioner Relief Peshawar, Director General CMG Peshawar, Director East and West CMG, and Abandoned Property Board representatives. Both sides presented their cases regarding ownership and handover.

A committee was formed under the chairmanship of Commissioner Peshawar City Hashim Rao to demarcate the park's boundaries and settle the dispute. This development aims to resolve a long-standing dispute and pave the way for clear ownership and management of the amusement park. The committee's findings will be crucial in determining the park's future and ensuring its proper development and use.
