Civil Quarters Grounds: Fee Debacle Creates Funding Woes, Sparks Player Dispute

Peshawar: Financial woes have surfaced at Peshawar's Civil Quarters Grounds, with a large number of players refusing to pay membership fees. This delay in payments not only strains the ground's finances but has also reignited a dispute between football and hockey teams.

A monthly fee of Rs. 500 covers football, hockey, and volleyball players. While some have paid, most haven't, despite two months passing. This delay has management worried, as they rely on these fees for ground upkeep and expenses.

Last month, a dispute between football and hockey teams led to the temporary closure of the grounds. While operations resumed, resentment lingers. The volleyball players, meanwhile, continue practicing regularly, but their financial contribution remains unclear.

The management urges players to fulfill their membership obligations to ensure the smooth functioning of the grounds. Unpaid fees create financial strain and hinder essential maintenance.
