Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's Wheelchair Cricket Champions Honored with Prize Money

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provincial sports directorate awarded 1.5 lakh rupees (approx. $1,500) from the sports foundation to the five players of the Asian Wheelchair Cricket Championship-winning team. Notably, while five players received the honor, only three players and one coach from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa actually participated in the championship held in Nepal. The manager was also from the province. The award was announced shortly after the team's return.

Manager , zawar Khan, representing the team, received the prize money, which will be equally distributed among the players later. However, concerns have been raised regarding the deduction of Rs.15,000 as tax, leaving each player with a final reward of Rs.27,000 (approx. $270). This seemingly disproportionate deduction has sparked questions about the allocation of the remaining sum.
