9th APS Bodybuilding Provincial Competition: Peshawar Bodybuilders Flex Their Muscles in Memory of Martyrs
PESHAWAR, Pakistan: In a poignant display of strength and spirit, the 9th APS Bodybuilding Provincial Competition concluded at the Pakistan Sports Board and Coaching Center Peshawar, with over 90 bodybuilders from across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa participating in memory of the Army Public School martyrs.
The
event commenced with an emotional opening ceremony, graced by Director General
Sports Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Abdul Nasir Khan as the chief guest. He lauded the
Provincial Body Building Association's initiative in keeping the memory of the
APS tragedy alive and announced Rs. 1 lakh for the participating bodybuilders.
Fierce
Competitions:
Seven
different categories, ranging from 55kg to over 80kg, witnessed intense
competition as skilled bodybuilders showcased their dedication and hard work.
Ismail, Faqir Shah, Shabbir Ahmed, Hafeez Khan, and Taj Muhammad kept the
crowds enthralled with their impressive physiques.
Closing
Ceremony with a Promise:
Dr.
Naveed, the chief guest at the closing ceremony, assured the bodybuilders of
his unwavering support and pledged to promote the sport further. He commended
the participants for their spirit and dedication, especially the special
players who added a special touch to the event.
Winners
Emerge:
Naeem
Sangin of Bannu emerged victorious in the 60kg category, followed by Hamza of
Peshawar and Tahir of Kohat. The 70kg competition saw Inam of Peshawar bagging
the top spot, while Zia of Peshawar dominated the 75kg category. Shahzad of
Swabi clinched the 80kg title, and in the Mr. Physique categories, Ajmal Khan,
Rohan, and Hamza of Peshawar stood out among the rest.
