Multiple meters, including one supplying power to the hockey grounds, have suffered damage, causing not only inconvenience but also hindering essential services.

• Power Meter Damage: A malfunctioning electricity meter at the Peshawar Sports Complex has affected crucial areas, including the hockey grounds.

• Water Supply Disruption: The power outage has impacted the water supply to the hockey grounds, leaving the turf dry and unusable. This has disrupted hockey practice and increased the risk of injuries for athletes.

• Inter-School Matches Affected: Earlier in the day, inter-school hockey matches had to be played on the dry astro turf, highlighting the widespread impact of the power disruption.

• Multiple Facilities Affected: The affected electricity meter supplies power to other facilities such as the swimming pool and table tennis hall, disrupting their operations as well.

• Previous Incidents: This is not the first time the sports complex has faced power disruptions. A previous meter malfunction behind the cricket academy had compounded the challenges.
