In a significant development, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has been urged to conduct a thorough scrutiny of cricket clubs across various regions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including Peshawar. The primary focus is to identify clubs equipped with their own net facilities, where players engage in daily cricket practice.

Concerns have been raised by sports insiders who claim that the PCB, responsible for overseeing club-level cricket, has historically made errors in this process, allowing some clubs to manipulate their status. Certain clubs falsely claim to be registered, displaying others' net facilities in their records while lacking such amenities. This has enabled them to evade PCB scrutiny.

These discrepancies, as pointed out by sources, extend beyond Peshawar, raising questions about the state of affairs in other districts of the province. Peshawar, often referred to as the cricket hub, serves as a potential indicator of the broader situation.

To curb such fraudulent practices, there is a collective call for stringent measures. The aim is to put an end to forgery within cricket clubs and ensure that those involved in such deceptive practices face complete bans from participating in cricket activities. The cricket community emphasizes the need for the PCB to take decisive action to preserve the integrity of the sport.
