5273 Participants in 22 Tournaments Denied TADA, Raises Concerns Over Priorities
In the year 2022, the Mardan District Sports Office
organized 22 tournaments, attracting the participation of 5273 dedicated
players. Shockingly, none of these players were provided with TADA (Traveling
Allowance and Daily Allowance), according to a recent report obtained through
the Right to Information.
The tournaments, purportedly supported by the district
government, have come under scrutiny for failing to acknowledge the efforts of
the participating athletes. This lack of financial compensation for their hard
work and commitment has been exposed in a report that has raised eyebrows and
concerns among the sports community.
The obtained information also sheds light on the fact that,
during the same year, the District Sports Office recruited 42 new employees.
This revelation has sparked criticism regarding resource allocation and the
office's priorities. Critics argue that the primary focus should be on
recognizing and rewarding the players rather than expanding the workforce.
Furthermore, details from the Right to Information
disclosure reveal that ten gyms are currently operational in Mardan, each
employing three individuals. This information further intensifies the ongoing
debate about the allocation of resources and transparency within the District
Sports Office.
